French Red Cross — building with trainers
A volunteer contribution to a collective first-aid training platform.
Starting with the need
The IA & Crise hackathon, organised by the French Red Cross and Fondation Simplon on 4–5 April 2025, brought the team together around a training problem. The collective project, crAIsis GENerator, combines revision, quizzes and assistance for first-aid training.
My contribution
I volunteered on part of the AI layer and helped frame the problem with Red Cross trainers. This connected development with conversations about training needs and how the tool could fit in. Other team members developed the front-end.
Conversations at ChangeNOW
At ChangeNOW 2025, I stayed with the team at the stand to discuss the project with the French Red Cross and visitors, and listen to their questions. A colleague delivered the English pitch on a small stage.
The experience combines two things I enjoy: contributing to a tool and discussing it directly with the people concerned.
Result and limitations
The team platform was presented publicly. My repository is a fork of the collective project; it provides a way to explore the software, but does not cover every version or all of the AI layer. No measured educational outcome is claimed.
